Brand storytelling on the walls - Unbound Coffee Roasters, Innsbruck, Austria
Some murals are decoration.
Others become part of the identity of a place.
The collaboration with Unbound Coffee Roasters in Innsbruck was never meant to be “just a mural project.” From the very beginning, the goal was to translate the soul of the brand into a visual language living directly on the walls of the roastery and coffee shop.
I spent hours diving deep into the story behind Unbound - understanding their philosophy, their relationship to coffee, the mountains surrounding Innsbruck, and the honest journey hidden behind every cup.
The final mural concept became a visual storytelling system spread throughout the space.
The artwork follows the path of coffee: from fairtrade farms and landscapes around the world, all the way into the roastery between the Tyrolean mountains - and finally into people’s daily rituals, adventures and cups.
Every line was intentionally designed to communicate flow, movement and connection.
The mural blends real mountains, Unbound brand symbols, coffee information infographics, farms with coordinates into one cohesive visual identity.
What made this project special was the depth of the design process behind it. Before I touched the wall, the concept evolved through extensive creative direction, storytelling development and spatial thinking.
The result is not only an artwork, but an immersive brand experience - a space where customers can feel the values of Unbound visually: honesty, craftsmanship, transparency, movement, human connection and respect for the origins of coffee.
Projects like this are the reason I love mural work:
Creating artworks that do more than decorate - they communicate, educate and emotionally connect people to a place and its story.
